Psychology is by far the most fascinating subject I have found at Brigham Young University. My major is the best major for me personally because it will sustain my interest the entire course of the major. Some of the things i love are self-motivating activities and personal growth. I expect to learn how the mind and other aspects of the body can effect these activities. A high income is also a very important aspect of my life and I am fully aware of the very few opportunities to make money with only my bachelor's in psychology. That is why I will be getting my PhD in a related field of study. By far the number one reason why I consider my major to be the best out of the choices at Brigham Young University is; because I will be learning about why people do the things they do and how I can positively help people improve their quality of life.

I always thought Psychology looked interesting, and its good to see that you are doing it, with plans on helping people further along in the future.
It looks like this is the perfect fit for you. That is great that you will learn about something that you love.
I think that it is great that you are determined to go on and receive your PHD after you are done with your under grad. It takes a lot of time and work to accomplish all that school, but I also agree that it is extremely beneficial in the long run.
Congrats on the decision and determination, especially the plans of going on to get your PhD!
psych is a cool major but you're right. If i'm not planning on getting a PhD, i wouldn't want to take it either. You kind of gave us a reason to not want to take it by saying that there is very little money or opportunities in it without further study. I think your reasons for choosing this major are good though, and you sound like you really want to help people. That's awesome, there is always a need for people like that.
I think this is a great major for you, and you seem to know what you might do with this after college. I like your plans for the future because they are attainable. I would also like to add that I too have thought about Psychology as a major and may be switching my major to it.
