We all have heroes, people that we look up to, but there seems to be a trend in the youth today to lookup to characters from popular comics and movies that are based on those franchises. This presents many problems as these characters, such as Batman Superman, and Spiderman present unrealistic expectations regarding physics and the way nature works. This fact aside, the most glaring problem with these characters as role models for our young children is their choice of apparel. It is not uncommon to see Spiderman swinging through downtown New York City with a young starlet under his arm both breaking Newton’s laws of gravitation and breaking the acceptable fashion rules wearing a skin-tight jumpsuit. It is never acceptable to wear an outfit that is form fitting let alone while one is parading around supposedly fighting evil. These "super-heroes" in-so-doing participate in the very evil they are fighting by being unchaste.
