Choppy Sentences

One night my sister and I planned on going to the gym. It is located in the Smith Field House and so it takes some planning to get there. We finally organized our schedules and found a time in our busy schedules that would work for the both of us. Upon arriving at the gym we were told that we would have to wait to enter. The gym was at full capacity. Neither of us had the time to spare to just wait. The gym capacity is 92. There are thousands of students at BYU who work out. Something needs to be done. There needs to be more space for students to work out.

After waiting for people to leave, we finally made it into the gym to work out. We were then disappointed to realize that all the cardiovascular machines were being used. Because it is winter, the gyms are bound to be more crowded. Who wants to work out outside in the freezing weather? We worked out on the weight machines because the cardio machines were full. The weight machines were less than impressive. Many of the machines were broken. The padding was missing on the machines. There were also not enough machines for everyone.

Exercising is important to do in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle. My sister and I planned to go to they gym together one night. Because the gym is not right outside either of our doors, it takes some planning to get there. After comparing schedules, we finally found a time that would work for both of us to go to the gym. That night we each had multiple tasks that we needed to get done, so our time was valuable. Upon arriving at the gym we were told that we would have to wait to enter because the gym was at full capacity. While we were waiting, we inquired as to what the gym’s full capacity was, and found out that the limit is 92 people. It seems ridiculous that with thousands of students attending Brigham Young University, only 92 students are allowed to work out in the weight room.

Finally, enough people left the weight room that my sister and I were able to go in. We were then disappointed to realize that all the cardiovascular machines were being used. Because it is winter, the gyms are bound to be more crowded; who wants to work out outside in the freezing weather? The weight machines were our only option until a cardio machine opened up, and they were less than impressive. The machines were either broken, missing padding, or old. On top of this, there was not enough room to move around. A person would have to stop lifting in order to let someone else go by. Many improvements need to be made to the gym in the Smith Field House.
