Economics is the best major
My major is economics. Economics is the best major in the whole university. It is the best because one does not have to apply to the program. They only have to declare the major and that is it. Also, it is a very fast major, one can start when they are a freshman and once they have 120 credits and required economics courses, they graduate. Also, with an economics degree there are so many possibilities. Not only is there lots and lots of money involved, but economics majors usually know more about the market itself than regular business management majors. Economics majors study why certain things happen in the free market, and with more knowledge about the market, one will succeed more.

This entry made some very valid points, but lacks somewhat in its ability to persuade me. The authors made a very true and powerful statement when he said that economist drive the market more than businessmen. I thought that was a very important point, because without economists, the entire field of business does not function. Economists came up with the great theories that have shaped the world economy and the world of business. The phrase that sounds awkward to me is, “… one can start when they are a freshman and once they have 120 credits and required economics courses”. I would add … “and once they have 120 credits and have competed all of the required economics courses.” Economics is an interesting but difficult field of study, I applaud you for your ability to appreciate the subject, but as for myself, I’m content with another field of study
You make some very good points in your post concerning the economics major. It's certainly a benefit to have fewer required credits and there must be less competition if you needn't apply for acceptance. I haven't decided if I want to try for an MBA yet, but if I do, I'm switching my major to economics.
Right now i am leaning towards a business major but incorporating that with economics i think could be very useful in future job opportunities.
