Gym Needs Improvement

Last night my sister and I planned on going to work out at the gym in the Smith Field House. We only had a short amount of time that we could work out together so we made sure to be on time. After arriving on time we went up to the gym only to find out that we had to wait in a line to enter because the gym was already at capacity. Our work out time was shortened because the gym was at capacity. I think that Brigham Young University needs to invest in making the gym in the Smith Field House more accommodating for students.

There is no comparison between the collegiate athlete gyms and the regular student gym. The collegiate gyms have nicer equipment and are better taken care of. I have no problem with the athletes having a nice gym; I think it is important for them to have one. I do believe that the gym for regular students should be just as nice. For all the non-athletes at BYU there is only one gym. The gym needs to be made bigger and have better equipment in it. Out of the thousands of students that attend BYU it is ridiculous that the gym capacity is 92.
