Let’s face it; we are all here receiving an education so we can graduate and have successful careers. Some of us have chosen to study medicine and will become doctors; while others have chosen biology and will become scientists, but no matter your chosen profession you will likely have a boss that studied business. Now I’m not saying that other majors are unimportant, I am merely emphasizing the fact that businesses affect all of us. From the kid down the street that cuts your grass to the financial corporation which manages your retirement portfolio, companies large and small are led by individuals who’s understanding of how to efficiently allocate time and resources in order to maximize the return on investment and turn an acceptable profit play a key role in the success or failure of our society’s economy and ultimately our standard of living. I totally agree with you on the fact that in order to really be successfull one must have an understanding of Business. The only question I have is what emphasis are you studying? The business progam encopmasses a few different majors including, Buisiness management, Accounting, and business Information Systems. I personally have found that by Minoring in Business Management one can still learn many of the important concepts offered in that Business Major.
