“She was on cloud nine, happy and making plans for her wedding…she really was adored by everyone.” A mourning aunt would never have had to say these words if it were not for the deadly un-protected crosswalk that spans University Avenue at the south-end of the Wyview Park complex. The aunt was mourning the loss of her niece Rebecca Blazzard, a visual arts major at Brigham Young University. On January 8, 2008 while returning home from her first day of her final semester at BYU she was hit and killed by a car while crossing the infamous “walk of death” crosswalk near Wyview Park. Being a Wyview resident myself, I have seen first-hand the risks (for both drivers and pedestrians) this horribly misplaced crosswalk has to offer.

Clever title, but dark humor! you're talking about someone's DEATH! Good kairos, i can see why i would care about this (i live in wyview)
You established your credibility really well. I have never walked across this crosswalk but I don't think i want to.
You grabbed my attention and I thought you did well in showing the relevance of this issue. I like the title- "The Walk of Death: Is it Necessary?"
I like your first alternative title the best. This is very well written paragraph and shows great kairos. This is something that needs to be fixed. Good luck with your paper.
