In class quiz

As symbols of ideals that contemporary society sees as virtuous and necessary, Batman, Superman, and Spiderman are suitable role models for children. While some may say that these characters promote inappropriate styles of dress, it must be remembered that it is not the first impression of these characters that captivates the minds of children. These characters have represent ideals that as a society we seek to cultivate in the minds of our children. To discourage children to be inspired by them is like telling children not to listen to or take inspiration from people who dress differently. Imagine if children were told not to listen to Ghandi because he wore traditional Hindu clothes, or MLK because he was black. Individuals who follow this train of thought need to look beyond simple first impressions and look for the true intent of characters and individuals around them.
