character vs. dress code

The issue of Batman, Superman, and Spiderman being good role models or not should not be decided because of their clothes but because of what they do. These superheroes are good examples because of what they do; they fight crime, protect the innocent and save the world from total destruction. People in the world can be inspired by these actions. You don't see fashion designers of the world turning to these scantily clad supermen as a resource now do you? How often do you see a teddy or lingerie from victoria's secret based on a superheroes outfit? Never! Since when do hollywood stars start going around wearing batman's black tights or spidermans tight red suit. You don't! The fashion industry gets their inspiration from other resources, not from the good men who fight evil.
