History affects everything
Without learning about history the same mistakes would be made over and over again in the coming years. That is why History is the best major offered here at BYU. By learning the world's past problems and how they were corrected you can deduce how to deal with current problems correctly. Also, History is part of every major out there whether it be business where knowing the history of markets and the economy would be very useful or geology in which you must know the history of the earth to be aware of how the present earth was formed. These reasons, among many others, are why becoming a history major would be an excellent decision.

History is an important part of life. And you are right that every major whatever it be is affected by history.
I cannot stress just how important history is in an education. Truly knowing the past means that we can stop making mistakes for the future. Learning from the past helps us see how we got to where we are now as human beings. I must say however that history is not the best major offered as BYU. Our university has a better reputation for other majors such as accounting, nursing, advertising, animation, business, etc.
