Macintosh: Numbers tell it all

As I walk around campus, I cannot help but realize that there are a lot of people that use personal computers. The thing that strikes me the most though is that although the vast majority of students and computer labs on campus use windows computers; Macintosh is still the ‘cool’ computer, but why, there is no logical reason to use them. As a college student and a avid computer user, I know computers and the most efficient way to use them and that is using the standard windows computing environment. One of the big complaints that I have against a Macintosh is increased price. It is like paying 50 dollars for a hamburger, you are getting the same thing (I would argue an inferior product) for an increased price. Once you spend 1500 dollars on a mac, then you will get into the attitude of having fancy gadgets. You will need an ipod and an iphone and all the other various toys that play well with a Macintosh. Along with that you will gain this attitude of throwing your money around and will likely be penniless in weeks. Just looking at the standard mac is enough for anyone to realize that they are junk, who wants a white computer? That is enough to turn me off, and help me realize that Microsoft is the only true choice for someone serious about computing.

I like the "who wants a white computer? That is enough to turn me off." haha..
The logical fallacy which is most prevalent is slippery slope. If you buy a mac you will be penniless in weeks.

Along with that you will gain this attitude of throwing your money around and will likely be penniless in weeks. This is definitely a hasty generalization. You did a great job even if I do not agree with you.
