Stairway to Heaven?: Why the RB Staircase is Probably Harder to Climb

As a student-athlete at BYU, I spend a lot of time in the Smith Fieldhouse and IPF for my practices and workouts, and like all students I also have classes on the main level of campus. I am constantly wearied from the repeated ascent and descent of the seemingly endless staircase. This problem is especially grave at times when I have just finished a workout and my legs have little strength left in them, yet my education depends on my getting up the stairs to class. I know that I am not alone in my sentiment: all student-athletes at BYU encounter the same challenge. In fact, almost all students at BYU have had a PE class or some other cause that left them physically exhausted and facing the dreaded stair. Additionally, if you have ever had a hard time parking in the RB parking lot and had to run up the stairs to get to class on time, you know much of an obstacle they pose. We all have experienced them; I think that we all would appreciate the break from fatigue that an escalator would provide.

Funny post. I like the title "The Black Stair..."

"probably" seems like it's not important issue...consider getting rid of that. But i this is an issue that students and faculty can relate to.

I really like your title. I agree with you that there should be an escalator but I wonder what the chances of that really happening is... Either way the RB stairs are a beast

I enjoyed your titles, they made me laugh.

Really funny titles also good ethos since you probably have to walk up them all the time.

Great establishment of ethos by saying you were an athlete and that it applies to all athletes, also you have very catchy and funny titles, great job!

I like your titles but my favorite is the Lord of the Rings reference, very clever! It was smart to mention that you are an athlete.
