Sunshine, Entertainment, and Internships: BYUOC should be built today!

~Cold, Unknown, Isolated: Why BYUOC would solve all our problems

~Warmth, Recognition, and Opportunities: Reasons why the church should build another BYU in Southern California

Although BYU Provo’s location is a beautiful, prosperous area, it is small. BYU needs a place for it to grow and Provo’s limited resources are frustrating when there are students who have so much to offer the world. As a BYU student who was raised in Orange County, California I have seen the slower lifestyle in Provo and the lack of recognition available in the area. It is frustrating for me to see so many promising, talented students restrained because of the lack of resources available in Provo. BYU students have so many fresh ideas and great intellectualism that will make a great difference to the world; this difference would be more easily made in Orange County. Whereas, just at an ordinary public school in Orange County I was able to be a political advocate, meet students from all over the world, and visit various museums to enrich my educational experience. The nation’s second most populated area, Southern California, is home to about 24 million people, numerous well-known companies, studios, and museums. The location and lifestyle of BYUOC would aid students as they try to find a job in the “real world” and it would provide more opportunities for internships and educationally enriching experiences. Overall, BYUOC should be built in order to gain more prestige, resources, and a more ideal, “real world” location. It should be built as soon as possible because OC land prices are continually rising. There is land in Irvine that will soon be taken if the church doesn’t act now. There are many housing constructions going on and soon all the developers will have their hands on any land BYU could have had. All the opportunities the BYU students could have had will only be a dream if the church doesn’t buy now!

What to know why it hasn't been built yet? Because BYUOCSA sounds a bit awkward.

there is no SA at the end.
