Which Major is Best?

A major I am considering is Business Statistics. I think that this is one of the best programs offered at Brigham Young University because it blends aspects of business and mathematics together in a very useful way. It requires very logical thinking and teaches one how to problem solve in an efficient and productive manner. Statistics is a great way to apply mathematics to the real world and to get accurate results from experiments, surveys, and studies. Being involved in the research and development of statistics can help to better the world by interpreting feedback from studies and applying that information to the world’s population.

Statistics is an interesting subject to study. There are so many everyday activities that involve stats. We need statisticians to help us with these activities. I think you should keep pursuing this degree.

Although the thought of any type of math makes my stomach turn, I greatly appreciate statistics. It can help people understand any topic better when they can see actual data. For example, I have used them in my Sociology research and constantly in the articles I wrote in my former school's newspaper articles to back up my claims. I know the value of good statistics. Statistics are some of the most effective logos in writing!
